A Love/Hate Short Story-
I hate my backpack. It weighs about 40lbs, has straps hanging from all sides that get caught up, stretched out or stepped on. Unzipping the main compartment is like cutting open an overstuffed pig. It brings pain to my shoulders and neck, and when not in use it’s just an unsightly beast next to my bunkbed. It’s just always in the way. It’s complete freedom. Flexibility. I have everything I need and could possibly want in life, all encapsulated in this celebrated piece of human ingenuity- a suitcase that straps to your body so it moves with you. It’s Genius. A design from the heavens. I’ve never been a happier person than I’m with it. I love it.
