All in a days travel-
I just checked into my hostel in Kathmandu and pressed the stop button on my watch. When I left the hostel in New Zealand I started my stop watch. Officially the culmination of my longest travel “day” ever was 41 hours, 44 minutes and 52 seconds. From Queenstown, New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia to Bangkok, Thailand to Delhi, India to Kathmandu, Nepal. I slept a total of MAYBE 6 broken hours, had breakfast three times, dinner once, drank, had a hangover, drank again, coffee during every breakfast, coffee during a few snacks, coffee with dinner and some coffee in between, read over 500 pages of Angels and Demons. Longest flight was 9.5 hours, longest layover 8 hours. I was fortunate enough to meet a supremely talented little girl 3 rows in front of me on the longest flight (Melbourne to Bangkok). She is destined to be the next Celine Dion with her mind numbing octave range of full on screaming. I had no idea a human that size can have such powerful lungs. She was still displaying her talent at baggage claim. Impressive… Wake me in a few days.
